Automations worked fine, we were satisfied. I added a Philips Hue light controller, multiple Eve temperature and air quality sensors, a couple of GE air conditioners. Really, truly, reset Apple Home configuration I started using Apple HomeKit in 2018, with an Apple TV 4K designated as the primary hub. I've read in at least one place for each that even these two steps don't solve the issue.Īny and all recommendations would be helpful. Replace the Apple TV HD with a new 4k version Around the clock.ĭespite the disconnection, ALL my devices still function through HomeKit. Updating, then going through this entire list three times didn't fix the issueĮvery thirty minutes, I get a notification "Home Hub Not Responding", then I get a notification saying the "Home Hub Is Now Responding". Updating my Home Hub on Apple TV didn't fix the issue Signing out of iCloud on Apple TV didn't fix the issue Updating OS on all devices didn't fix the issue. Shutting down and restarting all devices doesn't fix issueĭeleting my "Home" from HomeKit and re adding all my devices didn't fix the issue ![]() I've never had an issue until a few days ago when I picked up a new iPhone 13 series.Īll devices are signed in with same credentials. I've tried everything noted in these forums as well as "fixes" described in numerous articles. I’m sorry if the terms doesn’t concide with the real ones in the app, but I’m italian and I translate letter by letter, hoping that also in english ther are the same words. Maybe the problem is that I’m part of a family and if I don’t invite them I can not set the notifications ? So, I don’t konw how to do, because the position on settings of the iPhone is turned on, I have an Apple TV as hub for remote controle, the notifications of the Home app, on iPhone settings are turned on. And I would set that if my position is not home, to turn on notifications, but I can’t set this. I can modify only the first, the schedule, but NOT the persons. Here there is for first “schedule” and for second “persons”. When I want to activate notification of a device (a movement sensor), i open, below of this section “persons”, on “Sensors” and then I turn on “notifications on this iPhone”, and a window appears below. If I touch here I can see the other members of my family that I could invite, but they don’t use homekit, so I’m the only user. I touch in the left-up corner on the house symbol, then “home settings”, and then in the section “person” there is only me with “invite persons” below. To explain my problem I’m going to write what I do on homekit app. I would like to see notifications about movements/lights in my house when I’m not at home. Well, my wife was asleep upstairs and I didn’t want it to bother her, so I tried disabling notifications. As you know, it will keep pushing a HomeKit notification. I kept locking/unlocking the lock within the August app trying to fix it…. It has to be done via the System Notifications within the Settings app. I don’t think you can turn notifications off within the August app. Try playing around with turning notifications on/off for each app and see if you can notice a pattern. ![]() I believe there may be some sort of internal security conflict having BOTH the August app AND Home App give you notifications. I think the problem is caused by some security necessity that August MUST give you notifications in order to unlock the device remotely.
